Check-in Information
If you are a new freshman, we want to welcome you to our residence life community.  All freshmen will check in on Tuesday or Wednesday, August 21st or 22nd depending on your building assignment.  To control the amount of traffic on campus and around Harrisonburg, you must check-in on your assigned day.  You can find specific information about your residence hall, as well as move-in information in the One book.

If you are a returning student, welcome home to JMU!  All returning students will check in on Saturday, August 25th between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

If you are living in a sorority house, welcome home to JMU!  All students living in sorority houses will check in on Friday, August 24th between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

If you are a new transfer student, welcome to JMU!  Due to transfer orientation, all new transfer students are invited to check in on Friday, August 24th between 9 AM-noon, 2-5 PM, and 8-10 PM.  Staff will not be available for check-in other than the times shown here.
