First Year Involvement

Visit the FYI Resource & Writing Center in Huffman Hall, Room A100.  Our six Program Advisers (PAs) work with your RAs and Community Council members to plan programs in your hall and other campus events.  Six Writing Tutors provide a peer review service for first year students with any of their writing concerns. 

FYI also sponsors various academic support programs such as Graduation Club, Academic Support Instruction (ASI), and the Academic Mentor Program.  For students looking for a little extra support with basic study skills, call FYI and sign up for an ASI session. 

Also, look for The Spotlight, a monthly newsletter just for first-year students in your mailbox every month. Come by Huffman A100 to check us out or give us a call at 568-3598.
