Course Service Role Since Fall 2000:

By Course Abbreviation and Number

What is the service role of a particular course? Use this three step form to receive enrollment and credit hour production by the major of students enrolled in the course of your choice. Each selection will refresh this screen for the next step. Simply (1) select term, (2) course abbreviation, and/or (3) course number.

STEP 1: Select the academic term.

The service role of a course is derived by linking student specific course and demographic data. In other words, aggregates are created from data with one record for every course taken by every student which are linked to data with one record for every student containing their major, academic level, gender and ethnicity.

  • The Summer history begins with Summer 2001. The Summer Course Enrollment data are captured after grades are posted and should be available here in September following the summer term. These are the same data used to create Tables 2-13, and 2-14 of the Statistical Summary.
  • The Fall/Spring history begins in 2000-01. Data from Fall 2000 through Spring 2007 come from the official Annual SCHEV course enrollment data files (as delivered to the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia). Beginning with implementation of this web search in Fall 2007, data close to census is used. This data is very close to the official data.
