Course Enrollment Data Since 1992-93:

By Course Abbreviation and Number

Use this three step form to receive enrollment and credit hour production data. Each selection will refresh this screen for the next step. Simply (1) select year, (2) course abbreviation, and (3) course number.

STEP 1: Select the academic year.

This Course Enrollment historical dataset is aggregated from student specific records (one record for every course taken by each student).

  • The Summer history begins with Summer 1995. In this display, "Summer" is the beginning of the academic year, e.g., 1999-00 Summer is Summer 1999. The Summer Course Enrollment data are captured after grades are posted and should be available here in September following the summer term. These are the same data used to create Tables 2-13, and 2-14 of the Statistical Summary.
  • The Fall/Spring history begins in 1992-93. These data come from the official Annual SCHEV course enrollment data files (as delivered to the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia). The SCHEV data are collected after the close of each year in August. This makes fall/spring data available around September. For example, Fall or Spring data for 2003-04 should be available here by September 2004.
  • If you work for a JMU office that  needs fall or spring data earlier than this schedule, please see the link to Preliminary Course Enrollment at the OIR Warehouse. This feature includes the preliminary/unofficial files used for Tables 2-10, 2-11, and 2-17 of the Statistical Summary.  Preliminary files are almost the same as the official files captured at the end of the year. Watch the "as of" dates.
