JMU QUADRANGLE TRANSFORMATION TO BEGIN MAY 7

In anticipation of this fall's initiation of construction on the Center for the Arts and Music Recital Hall project, James Madison University is about to begin a very visible project along Main Street.

The lower portion of the JMU Quadrangle will undergo a transformation as it is lowered to the depth required for the future pedestrian passage under Main Street. At the same time underground utilities will be relocated from Main Street into the Quad to clear the pathway for the future pedestrian tunnel.

Work in the Quad will start the Monday after graduation (May 7) and will be completed by mid-August.
