Dr. Kathryn E. Stevens, Director Dr. Stevens received her Ph.D. in Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003. She also holds an M.A. in Art History and a B.S. in Anthropology, both from James Madison University. In addition to overseeing the collection’s internship program, Dr. Stevens also teaches Art of the Ancient World, Art of Ancient Egypt, Tribal Europe, and Museum Practices for the School of Art and Art History.

Mrs. Melanie R. Brimhall, Director of Education Mrs. Brimhall received her M.A. in Art History from James Madison University in 2003. She also holds a B.S. in Fine Arts with K-12 teaching certification from James Madison University. Mrs. Brimhall has over fifteen years experience teaching in Virginia Public Schools before creating and running the field trip program for the Madison Art Collection. She specializes in pre-contact cultures of North America and Mesoamerica and instructs education interns for the Madison Art Collection. |
