Kevin Borg
is an Associate Professor of History. He received his M.A. and Ph.D.
as a Hagley Fellow at the University of Delaware and the B.A. from
the University of California, Riverside.
Dr.
Borg teaches courses in United States history, the History of
Technology, the Automobile in 20th Century America, and a Public
History Practicum on Industry, Business and Workers in New South
Virginia.
He supervises
history internships and serves on the board of the
Institute for Visual
Studies as well as the steering committee for the
Science, Technology
and Society minor.
He is chapter
advisor to Phi Alpha Theta and
Madison Motor Sports and is active in
the Society
for the History of Technology.
Dr. Borg's
research interests include US social and cultural history, the
history of technology, and public history.
He
is the author of Auto Mechanics: Technology and Expertise in Twentieth Century
America (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2007); see
