Go Greek!

Welcome Student!

Are you looking to get involved in a Greek Organization but don’t know much about them?

What's "Rush"?

Here at JMU, we have 23 recognized chapters on our campus. "Rush" or Recruitment is a way for prospective new members to visit and learn about the Greek Organizations on campus in preparation. It does not mean you have to join, but should be an opportunity for you to check out the benefits of going Greek as well as the benefits that each chapter has to offer. There are many organizations on campus so if you don't find a good fit the first time, don't be discouraged! We have a group for every type of individual.

Fraternity Recruitment

Fraternity Recruitment typically is held year round and allows men to visit each chapter at their discretion. This informal process allows men to visit the chapters of their choosing through IFC Sponsored Recruitment events. The recruitment process is completely non-alcoholic and allows men to visit multiple chapters over several days so they can get a chance to truly get to know what each Fraternity is about, and what they value.

Sorority Recruitment

Sorority Recruitment is a formal process ran by the Panhellenic council. This process allows every woman in recruitment to check out every sorority on campus, and be paired to a sorority through a mutual-acceptance system. It is the strive of Sorority Recruitment to pair every woman with a sorority here at JMU.
